The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to modify contract N00024-11-C-6293 with L-3 KEO to replace the delivery of two Spare Photonics Mast Sensors with two newly constructed VIRGINIA Class Photonics Mast Sensor Systems. This change reflects an upgrade to the existing deliverables, utilizing L-3 KEO’s proven and reliable Photonics Mast system designed specifically for Undersea Warfare. Additionally, the contract ordering period will be extended by two years, from December 31, 2013, to December 31, 2015, to synchronize with the overall contract duration. The modification is intended to be awarded as a sole source to L-3 KEO, located in Northampton, Massachusetts. Although no solicitation documents have been issued, potential suppliers who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit statements of capability to the designated Contract Specialist, LCDR Tara Moore. Information submitted will be used solely to determine the possibility of a competitive acquisition, and the Government will not compensate for this information. This ensures transparency while maintaining L-3 KEO’s position as the prime provider for this specialized system.
