This is a Synopsis announcement in accordance with FAR 5.202 in anticipation of a future contract and Basic Ordering Agreement award. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement to contract for the manufacture, machining and assembly of the fixed portion of the Virginia Class Submarine propulsor required to support construction of FY20-FY24 Virginia Class boats. The anticipated contract will include separately-priced options for FY21-FY24 Virginia Class boats and also a spare for the Virginia Class boats planned in FY23. The total number of anticipated propulsors is (11) if all Options are exercised. The solicitation will be a Multiple-Year contract with a base award for FY20 Virginia Class boats and four Options years. The Navy has determined that the use of other than full and open competition is appropriate to award a contract to BAE Systems Land and Armaments L.P. This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https: www.fbo.gov. FBO is the single point of entry for the posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact BAE directly.
