Operational Security Cameras Bagwell and North Cargo AreasThe contract entails the design, permitting, and construction of a new security camera system across the Bagwell and North Cargo Operations areas at the Port of Seattle, with the goal of enhancing surveillance capabilities for forensic investigations and stronger enforcement of port movement regulations. The project will replace and expand existing coverage by deploying 50 high-resolution cameras at 43 distinct locations, focusing on critical pathways including main terminal drive lanes and entrances that currently lack adequate monitoring. While current systems primarily target conveyor systems and security doors, the new installation will significantly broaden observational reach, particularly along high-traffic and high-risk zones. In the North Cargo operations area, the system will incorporate flexible Pan Tilt Zoom camera units to deliver dynamic, user-controlled monitoring over large surface areas, bridging gaps in coverage that fixed cameras cannot address. This deployment is designed to ensure comprehensive surveillance while maintaining operational adaptability. The work is managed by the Aviation Project Management Group under the Port of Seattle, with primary contact information provided through Angela Peterson and Project Manager Randa Williams. The project, categorized under NAICS code 238210 for electrical and other wiring installation contractors, is forecasted for future solicitation with no set-aside designation specified.
