VME COMPUTER CHASSIS

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (PHD NSWC) Port Hueneme, Ca. intends to issue a contract with firm fixed priced order to purchase 3 ea VME Computer Electrical Chassis . Required delivery will be in 17 weeks. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 335999 with a Size Standard of 500 employees. The contractor is Tracewell Systems. As the sole manufacturer of the VME Chassis. Tracewell Systems holds the patent and is the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and does not have distributors. The anticipated issuance date for this order is on, or around 20 March 2014. Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within Thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
