CG44HJ. Repair by Replacement the the existing wet pipe and pre-action sprinkler systems, to include piping, sprinkler heads, valves, check valves, Fire Pump, Jockey Pump, all associated controllers and install a Nitrogen Generator System. Repair by Replacement the fire alarm system and pre-action sprinkler system control panels and all appliances and replace with new addressable systems with mass notification. || Repair by Replacement the existing electrical equipment, to include switchgear, two (2) exterior utility transformers, dry type transformers (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6 and T8), Panel boards (DPA, DPB, ESPA, LPA, ELPA, ESPB, SPA, SPB and SPC), Motor Control Centers (MCC-1 and MCC-2). Contractor shall provide surge suppression on all conductors entering or exiting the building that are provided by this RFP. Surge suppression shall be in accordance with NAVSEA OP-5 Paragraph 6-7. ||There are two (2) 200 HP air compressors serving VMPB #2. VMPB #2 experiences flickering lights when the outside 200 HP air compressors start up. To alleviate this issue, soft starters shall be installed for each air compressor or new air compressors with integral soft starters. || A Facility Evaluation Test (FET) is required and shall be provided by SWFLANT for inclusion in the RFP. The contractor shall perform and meet all the requirements listed in the FET document. ||A fire protection study was performed on the facility, in 2014, by CH2M Hill. The June 17th, 2014 report will be made available after award. The report is for information only. The recommendations made in the report do not necessary reflect the scope of this project. The building will be occupied during performance of the work under this Contract but pose no interference with the contractor.; Status Note (as of 07-MAR-22): Internal project kickoff held 09FEB. Onsite kickoff and site visit with SWFLANT occurred on 22FEB. RFP development is ongoing.
