AI Contract Overview
This Request for Information (RFI) issued under solicitation FA8533-26-ATEM is a market research initiative by the U.S. Air Force, specifically through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, to identify capable sources for the VXI to PXIe Converter Chassis (Part Number: PXIe03, Configuration: 3 VXI Slots / 8 PXIe Slots) that will support the Advanced Test Equipment Modernization (ATEM) initiative. The RFI is strictly for planning and informational purposes under FAR 52.215-3 and does not constitute a solicitation for contract award or any financial commitment. Respondents are not expected to incur costs unless such expenses are later allowable under another contract per FAR 31.205-18. Responses must be submitted electronically by July 17, 2026, via the DoD SAFE Site after initial contact with the designated points of contact, Jonathan Riggins and Michael Carter, and are limited to a total file size of 10 MB using Word, PDF, or Excel formats only. Contractors must demonstrate proven experience supplying ATE chassis with VXI and PXIe architectures, with specific focus on the exact part or a functional equivalent that meets form, fit, function, and interface requirements. Key submission requirements include detailed information on product availability, lead times from contract award, use of federal contract vehicles such as GWACs, GSA Schedules, or ATSA, comprehensive technical documentation including user manuals and engineering drawings, and robust supply chain resilience strategies including counterfeit parts prevention and obsolescence management. Warranty terms covering parts and labor, shipping practices aligned with USAF standards, and active SAM registration are mandatory. While no formal contract clauses, inspection standards, or pricing data apply since this is not a procurement action, the government will use submitted information solely to assess industry capability and maturity before considering any future formal solicitation. Responses must include business entity certifications such as CAGE code, small business status, and socioeconomic classifications, though no selections are pre-filled—only the structure for response is provided. All submission content must be comprehensive enough to satisfy threshold capability requirements for a “qualified” determination, as failure to address any area may result in disqualification. Delivery, if followed by a future award, is expected at Robins AFB, Georgia, but no delivery schedule, FOB terms, or payment details are established at this stage.
