W-345 North Well 2 Rehabilitation

The W-345 North Well 2 Rehabilitation project, managed by the Western Municipal Water District, involves the restoration of an existing municipal groundwater well and its associated facilities located at 24308 Kentucky Derby Way in Murrieta, California. The primary objective is to restore well performance, production capacity, and water quality to ensure a reliable local water supply for the district's customers. All activities will be conducted within the existing well site footprint and will not require any ground-disturbing activities. The scope of work includes the removal of residual drilling mud and other obstructions, mechanical and chemical well development, and the performance of video inspections. Additionally, the project entails making necessary adjustments to pumping equipment and appurtenant piping. This project is categorized as exempt under Class 1 of the CEQA Guidelines for existing facilities, as it involves minor alterations without expansion of use.
