Synopsis This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Birmingham AL VA Medical Center. A Request for Proposal will be issued on the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about January 21, 2016 for Home Oxygen Service. The VA is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide setup, installation and management of home oxygen services to veteran beneficiaries serviced by the Birmingham AL VAMC and all affiliated community-based outpatient clinics. The performance period will consist of one base period and 4 one-year option periods to be exercised at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. This requirement is being set aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification Code for this procurement is 532291, Home Health Equipment Rental, and the size standard is $32.5 million. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Priced, Requirements type contract in April 2016. The solicitation will result in the award of a single contract. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. As authorized by FAR 5.102, solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and the VA will provide no hard copies.
