Walkover Exterior Lighting Upgrades

The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) is soliciting bids for the Walkover Exterior Lighting Upgrades project, identified as solicitation 2026-018 RFQ. The project requires a qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to replace eighteen existing exterior lighting fixtures with LED fixtures across sixteen different addresses in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The scope of work includes the removal of old fixtures, installation of new LED lighting, necessary electrical wiring and conduit work, and the restoration of all disturbed surfaces such as masonry and soffits. All work must comply with the Ontario Electrical Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. The project must be completed by December 15, 2026. Electronic bid submissions are due by October 5, 2026, via the designated bidding system. Bidders must be registered businesses with an active UIN number and are encouraged to provide WSIB clearance and liability insurance certificates. The contract includes a one-year service warranty and a two-year product warranty following acceptance. Payment will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer within thirty business days of receiving a proper invoice, with standard terms of Net 30 days. The TBDSSAB reserves the right to conduct interviews, perform competency investigations, and award the contract by individual item or group. All new equipment must be certified by the CSA, FCC, and ULC.
