Walnut Grove ES, Central Gwinnett HS, Collins Hill HS & North Gwinnett HS - Roof Replacement

The Gwinnett County Board of Education is soliciting sealed bids for a stipulated sum contract to perform re-roofing services at four facilities: Walnut Grove Elementary (Bldg 2011), Central Gwinnett High (Bldg 5041), Collins Hill High (Bldg 5011), and North Gwinnett High (Bldg 5080). Bids must be submitted by 3:00 PM on November 12, 2026, to the Board of Education office in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Electronic submissions via email or fax are strictly prohibited. To be eligible for bidding documents, contractors must be licensed in the State of Georgia and submit a completed AIA Document A305 Qualification Statement to the project architect, Hussey Gay Bell, to demonstrate their ability to handle projects of similar scope and complexity. The project is scheduled to begin on May 27, 2027, with a requirement for the contractor to mobilize within ten days of the written Notice to Proceed. All work must reach substantial completion by July 23, 2027. Bidders are required to provide a bid bond equal to five percent of the base bid, while the successful awardee must provide performance and labor and material payment bonds equal to 100 percent of the contract sum. Payments will be issued upon receipt of requests approved by the architect, with retainage withheld as specified in the general conditions. Bids remain valid for sixty days following the opening date.
