Warren Correctional Interior Lighting Installation Upgrades

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is soliciting an Agency Contract for the installation and replacement of interior lighting fixtures at the Warren Correctional Institution in Manson, NC. The scope of work requires a qualified contractor to provide all labor, equipment, tools, lifts, and supervision necessary to install fixtures across several key areas, including high bay areas, individual cells, bathrooms, showers, the segregation unit, hallways, and staff rooms. While the institution provides the lighting fixtures, drawings, and specifications, the contractor is responsible for all other materials required for a complete installation, as well as the repair and painting of any surfaces damaged during the process. The project has an estimated completion date of February 1, 2027. All electrical work must be performed by properly licensed electricians, and all personnel must pass a state prison background check and security clearance process to gain facility access. Bids will be evaluated based on completeness, content, cost, and the vendor's responsibility, with a preference for those who can demonstrate prior experience working within prison or secured environments. Required submission documents include licensing for all employees, a certification of financial condition, and an alcohol and drug-free workplace policy. The state will award the contract based on the best value and most advantageous bid, with final payment contingent upon a successful inspection and approval by the designated Contract Manager.
