Oak Ridge Harris Corporation NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811213, Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The primary Product/Services Code is J059 ? Maintenance and Repair of Electrical and Electronic Equipment. The Department of Energy (DOE), Oak Ridge Office (ORO) intends to execute a sole-source Purchase Order to extend and purchase warranties and equipment under the authority of FAR 6.302-1,41 USC 253(c)(1), to Harris Corporation, 221 Jefferson Ridge Parkway, Lynchburg, VA 24501 , for continued Wide Area Radio Systems (WARS) support services across the Oak Ridge Reservation (ORR). The Period of Performance is December 23, 2018 through December 22, 2028. Harris Corporation, by virtue of being the incumbent vendor, is the only responsible source for a sole- source purchase order. To attempt to award a purchase order with anyone other than the incumbent, would disrupt the WARS and cause potential inherent hazards of the ORR to an extent that would put national security at risk. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals.
