AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the procurement of five lock washers, NSN 5310-00-450-0459, sourced from Bosch Robert Corp in Maywood, IL, under solicitation SPE4A6-26-T-06KF issued by the ASC Commodities Division of the Department of Defense. The delivery deadline is five days ADO, with the original required delivery date set for December 4, 2025, and the destination is specified as either the US Naval Base in Sasebo, Japan, or a PSC address in FPO AP 96322-1400, with FOB Origin terms applying to shipment. Technical and quality requirements are dictated by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, referenced by R or I numbers, with the revision in effect on the solicitation issue date governing compliance. Packaging must adhere to ASTM D3951, but DLA packaging standards take precedence, and all items must be marked and labeled per MIL-STD-129, palletized according to RP001, and physically identified per RQ017. The unit pack quantity is 025 for this NSN. Inspection is required at destination under FAR 52.246-2, with sampling conducted using MIL-STD-1916, ASQ H1331 Table 1, or an equivalent zero-based plan. Critical, major, and minor attributes must be verified using levels VII, IV, and II respectively, or AQLs of 0.1, 1.0, and 4.0, with unspecified attributes treated as major. Acceptance requires zero non-conformances if MIL-STD-105/ASQ Z1.4 is used for lot sizing. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are prohibited unless exempted for functional uses like batteries, fluorescent lamps, sensors, or chemical reagents, with portable devices containing mercury required to be shockproof and have a secondary containment per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Contractors must comply with the Buy American Act and Berry Amendment, with thresholds reduced to $150,000, and are subject to DPAS DX or DO ratings for national defense prioritization. Cybersecurity compliance mandates NIST SP 800-171 assessment per DFARS clause, while trafficking in persons and internal confidentiality prohibitions are enforced through FAR clauses.
