The Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) in Bridgeport, California, plans to award a sole source contract to D and S Waste Removal, Inc. for waste collection services. The contract includes the rental of two 30-yard open-top roll-off bins for a one-year period and the removal of solid waste from these bins, with a total of 32 waste collections scheduled. Due to the remote location of MCMWTC Bridgeport and market research showing no other nearby contractors capable of providing these services, D and S Waste Removal, Inc. has been identified as the only responsible provider. The procurement will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR 13.106-1(b) by soliciting from a single source, as no other vendors are deemed available. Although this notice is not a formal Request for Quote, other interested vendors may respond by December 19, 2011, for consideration in determining whether a competitive process might be pursued. The decision to proceed without competition remains at the sole discretion of the Government. All inquiries should be directed to Staff Sergeant Pena at the provided contact information.
