400 COAST GUARD ROAD QUARTERS "A" MARQUETTE, MI 1. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT: � Repairs to interior of Quarters "A" due to water damage that had previously been discovered and corrected. 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED: � Basement Repairs: 1. Hang, finish, and prime/paint drywall at all wall surfaces where removed due to water damage. 2. Install 24" painted door with hardware in existing opening. 3. Apply 1"x4" painted nominal base and casing at new wall and new door. � Ceiling Repairs: 1. Remove all loose/peeling paint and eliminate remaining rough transactions ridges. 2. Apply stain-blocking primer to all surfaces where loose/peeling paint has been removed. 3. Paint ceilings with flat white ceiling paint. 4. Replace (2 each) ceiling fans with fans integral globe lights. � Flooring Repairs: 1. Prepare floor and transition openings for new flooring and transition strips. 2. Apply floor underlayment padding in areas to receive new laminate floor. 3. Install new cherry finish laminate flooring in areas where former Prego flooring was located. 4. Install flooring underlayment in areas to receive new sheet vinyl flooring. 5. Install new taupe finish sheet vinyl flooring where existing vinyl has been removed. 6. Install (3 each) transition strips where laminate flooring meets dissimilar vinyl/tile flooring. 7. Install new primed �" round shoe molding throughout new flooring areas. 8. Reinstall existing removed baseboard heat cover panels. 3. MILITARY REGULATION: � The contractor, his employees and sub contractors must obey all unit regulations. � All personnel employed on the project shall keep within the limits of the work and avenues of ingress and egress. Personnel shall not enter any other areas outside the site of work unless required to do so in the performance of their duties and have obtained verbal permission from MK1 Alan Shanks or the Base Cleveland Owned Housing Maintenance Coordinator, DCC John Treme. � The contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification. � There shall be no smoking in any Coast Guard building and only in designated smoking areas. 5.
