The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment to demolish the coal and ash handling systems at Building 152 located at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. The scope of work encompasses extensive site improvements, including the demolition of existing sidewalks and the addition of new ones. Key demolition tasks involve removing outside vertical equipment such as hoppers, shake out pits, conveyors, precipitators, chutes, ash silos, and blowers, as well as inside equipment including bucket elevators, bunkers, coal storage bins, dust collectors, and hoppers. Additionally, the project requires the demolition of outside horizontal equipment, including reclaim pits, hoppers, conveyors, and the coal yard house. The contractor must also remove 2,600 linear feet of railroad track and a lift station, ultimately converting the coal yard into a parking lot. This project is managed by Navfacsyscom Mid-Atlantic under the Department of Defense and was designated as a total small business set-aside.
