M2 - The buoys must be able to use wireless technology to transmit data in near real time, latency of less than 6 hours from data collection to delivery, to central databases, enabling immediate access to water quality information. Four of the five buoys will require 4G cellular telemetry and the final buoy must be equipped for satellite telemetry to enable water quality monitoring in areas outside cellular range. M3 - The buoys must be equipped with renewable self-powered alimentation source to remain operational for multiple months. M4 - The buoys and all their components must be submersible. M5 - The buoys and all their components must be made of materials resistant to extended exposure to various weather conditions.
