AI Contract Overview
The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has issued a sole source solicitation, N0016426Q0164, for the procurement of ten Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG), part number 670C-4C-2256M-HV4-GPIB, under NAICS code 334515. These waveform generators must meet stringent technical specifications, including having a minimum of four independently controlled analog channels, support for up to 12V peak-to-peak on 50 ohms per channel, offsets ranging from -6 to +6 volts, a sampling rate of at least 100 Msa/s (with an ideal rate of 600 Msa/s), GPIB and LAN communications interfaces supporting SCPI protocol, a minimum memory of 256 Ms, and the ability to synchronize complex waveform playback across all channels. Additionally, the units must have a minimum of 16 bits vertical resolution, less than 2 picoseconds jitter, physical user controls with display, and remote operability via network and GPIB. This procurement is conducted under FAR 12.201-1 using simplified acquisition procedures as a Firm Fixed Price Request for Quotes, based on the sole source justification recognizing BNC Corp (Berkeley Nucleonic Corp) of San Rafael, California as the sole qualified supplier. BNC’s AWGs have been tested and approved specifically for use within Aegis test sets at Crane and related vendor facilities, providing unique firmware and specifications not available from other manufacturers domestically. Interested vendors may submit capability statements, but the government reserves the right to proceed without competition. The solicitation was issued on May 28, 2026, and offers must be submitted by June 8, 2026, at 11:00 PM Eastern Time via email to the designated contracting officer. Changes prior to the closing date will be posted on SAM.gov, which interested parties are responsible for monitoring.
