The Department of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Integrated Service Strategy and Operations branch, has a requirement to maintain customized Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons within the identified buildings. The contractor must provide the customized messages remain networked and available within BlindSquare, and will also provide a messaging update service whereby each message can be updated at minimum once per year, or an equivalent number of message amendments. Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) has exclusivity over the BlindSquare app in Canada. Currently, the pre-identified supplier is the only supplier in Canada who can maintain the status quo of our existing navigation solution. The proposed period of contract shall be from January 1st, 2025, to December 31, 2027, with the option to extend for an additional three (3) option periods of one (1) year each.
