WEB CONTENT MANAGEMENT AND NEW MEDIA SUPPORT

This requirement was awarded to General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. on a sole source basis. As previously announced in prior notices, award to General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. was on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1) (Sole Source J & A attached). This procurement is to provide high-quality information technology, engineering, and development services to support OASD/PA and DMA's mission requirements for communicating with various audiences using DefenseLINK.mil, the official home page of the U.S. Department of Defense, and other Internet technologies. Services include managing content on DefenseLINK.mil and associated sites; providing multimedia and graphic design development for DefenseLINK and other Defense Department sites, such as DotMilDocs and DoD Bloggers Roundtable; providing evaluative services for Emerging Media technologies and tools to be used by DoD; and responding to public queries submitted through DefenseLINK and through automated methods. Rationale for sole source: This sole source procurement is needed to eliminate disruption in services and unacceptable delays in fulfilling agency's requirements. DefenseLINK receives more than 19 million unique visitors a year, therefore, it is mission critical to ensure continuity of this service requirement is not disrupted.
