The Southeast regional office is looking for a vendor to provide Wellness Training that incorporates all requirements (topics) listed below in an 8-hour course. The duration of the training needs to be 5 days (8 hours per day) teaching the same curriculum each day. The class capacity will be a maximum of 130 participants per class. The target audience will be Corrections/ Law Enforcement staff. The vendor is required to have prior Military/Law Enforcement training experience.

These are the requirements:


  • Training wellness to cover Mental Health, Spiritual Health, Physical Health, Emotional Health, Financial Health, and the benefits of a strong Wellness strategy. Emphasis on utilization of individualized/family therapy and the benefits of seeking help from professionals.
  • Physiological implications of continued stress on the human body.
  • Tactics for deescalation of situations in both the professional /corrections law enforcement environment as well as the personal environment
  • Importance of meaningful connection with other people and how to recover from traumatic events.
  • Impact of childhood trauma on the way people behave and how these traumas manifest in the institution population and in the staff
  • Mental Health status check and evaluation activity
  • Staff crisis management training
  • Leadership in correctional environment and application of correctional technical skills
  • Interactive and hands-on practice applications and scenarios
  • Vendor with prior Military/Law Enforcement training experience

Response Time: Interested Offerors shall submit quotations in accordance with the above requirements, detailing what will be provided and a itinerary for the training and all cost associated. Per the description this training will need to cover all requirements in an 8 hour block of time, and be presented each day for the week to a new set of participants with a maximum class size of 130 participants.


 Quotations must be submitted electronically via email to the primary or alternative points of contact at s3howard@bop.gov and/or alternative K2boone@bop.gov no later than the date and time specified in the solicitation (20 July 2026, 4:00 PM EST).  Any questions concerning this solicitation shall be submitted via email, no later than 3 days prior to the close of the solicitation. The email subject line shall read: “Quote Submission: Wellness Training – [Insert Offeror Name]”.


The Contractor will provide the instructor(s) and all training materials.  The training will take place in the training facility at the instituion specified in the solicitation request.


Evaluation Factors:


Quotes will be evaluated on past performance, quality of service, and price.  Past performance references and CPARS will be reviewed.  Please feel free to submit any past performance evaluations for review.


Instructors should have verifiable experience, education, certification, and/or work experience relatable to the material being presented.  Verifiable experience to include, Crisis Intervention & De-escalation training, Mental Wellness and Suicide Prevention training, along with Trauma-Informed Care and Jail Diversion training.
