West Hollywood Park Relighting Project

The West Hollywood Park Relighting Project, solicitation FFS 0004, is a public works construction contract issued by the City of West Hollywood, California. The project involves a comprehensive electrical and lighting upgrade, specifically the furnishing and installation of 41 new light poles, the integration of existing luminaires into a lighting control system, and the construction of seven new concrete footings. The scope of work encompasses low voltage wiring, site utility work, and the removal of abandoned footings with subsequent sod restoration. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, and permits, and must hold a Class B General Contractor license while self-performing at least 50 percent of the contract work. Bids must be submitted electronically via the PlanetBids portal by July 9, 2026. The award will be based on a trade-off approach prioritizing the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Mandatory requirements include compliance with California prevailing wage laws, a Project Labor Agreement, and CARB off-road diesel regulations. Key deliverables include as-built record drawings, O&M manuals, and warranties. While most pricing is submitted as lump sums online, the contract includes specific allowances for after-hours service and additional luminaires totaling 41,060 dollars. Performance is governed by the City of West Hollywood General Provisions and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction.
