West Main/Elliots Crossing Water, Sewer, Storm Drainage and Street Improvements

The contract involves extensive infrastructure improvements including the installation of approximately 3,700 linear feet of 8-inch CL350 ductile iron pipe water main and 3,572 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer main. Work methods will include both open cut and trenchless applications, complemented by the installation of new service lines, hydrants, gate valves, fittings, and testing to ensure system integrity. Sewer improvements include the placement of 16 manholes and 90 cleanouts, while stormwater management entails constructing a stormwater pond with an outlet control structure and headwalls, along with the installation of various reinforced concrete pipes ranging from 18 to 42 inches in diameter, catch basins, and junction boxes within the right of way. Additional contract requirements cover significant roadway work, such as paving approximately three-quarters of a mile of asphalt, replacing existing driveway aprons along specified roads, and installing curb and gutter. The work also includes adjusting existing utilities like valves and manholes to the new elevations and installing new road signage and striping to improve traffic management. The project is managed by the City of Thomaston, Georgia, with a solicitation number PE-74521-NONST-2026-000000021, and responses are due by late May 2026. All labor, materials, testing, and equipment necessary to complete the project as per the detailed plans and specifications are included within the scope of work.
