Westside Trend Exploration Well - Bidr, LLC

Bidr, LLC has been granted a permit by the California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM) to drill the Westside Trend Exploration well in Kern County, California. Located in Section 29, Township 28 South, Range 20 East MDB&M on APN 085-170-09, the project involves drilling one new exploratory well, creating a new well pad, and installing temporary storage facilities. The project is situated on approximately 2.1 acres of undisturbed private land, with total land disturbance limited to less than 2.1 acres. The project was approved under a Mitigated Negative Declaration following an Initial Study that assessed potential impacts on biological resources, air quality, noise, and cultural assets. Key environmental compliance measures include a Biological Technical Report, an Air Quality Impact Analysis, and a Phase I Archaeological Study, which found no impacting cultural resources. A Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan has been adopted to ensure all environmental impacts remain at less than significant levels.
