The unit delivers a maximum output of 6,000 amps full-wave direct current (FWDC) with infinitely variable current control and automatic reversing DC demagnetization, ensuring consistent and repeatable inspection results. Equipped with a 30-inch head opening and a 30-inch coil that can be manually raised and lowered via a pneumatic valve, the machine supports both longitudinal and circumferential magnetization methods. It features a stainless steel 58x47 inch V-shaped tank with mesh screens and dust covers, a 500 lb motorized rotary turntable with a 1,500 lb safety capacity, and a fully enclosed inspection booth equipped with a REL C4 Magnum LED black light, 1,000 CFM extraction fan, and lighting systems compliant with ASTM E1444 and E3022. A digital ammeter with a hold feature and current assurance indicator ensures accurate monitoring, while electronic controls respond within 8 milliseconds. The system includes a recirculating 30-gallon magnetic particle solution tank with agitation to maintain particle suspension within 3% of theoretical level over eight continuous hours, a spray nozzle, dual catch pans, and a 500 lb overhead hoist. All components are mounted on a rigid steel framework with louvered panels and foot switch operation. The machine operates on 460VAC, 60Hz, three-phase, 200-amp power and includes a 115V, 5-amp convenience outlet. Control functions are centralized at the inspection station with emergency stop, pump, fan, and white light controls, and include diagnostic capabilities for the magnetic control boards. A calibrated digital radiometer, Keto ring cal fixture, and Gould-Bass MD-220 Hall Effect meter are included for field strength verification. The contractor must deliver a fully certified unit that meets all physical, performance, and safety specifications, with certification of completeness and calibration provided prior to shipment. Preliminary acceptance testing occurs at the contractor’s facility under observation by a Level 3 NDT expert from Yuma Proving Ground, followed by final acceptance upon installation at Yuma Proving Ground where the machine must again demonstrate full
