Bids for the construction of the Project will be received via either the PennBid.net website or hard copy hand delivered to the Galeton Borough Authority located at 24 West Main Street, Galeton, PA 16922 until 2:00 PM local time, Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Bids received will be PUBLICLY opened and read aloud after 2:05 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at the place of bid opening, 24 West Main Street, Galeton, PA 16922. The Project includes the following Work to bring two pre-drilled and cased water wells on line, install interconnecting piping from the 2 wells to existing treatment facilities, new electrical power service entrances and emergency generators and upgrades to the existing treament facilities along with tie into the existing municipal potable water distribution system. Bids are requested for the following prime Contracts: 2026-W1, General / Mechanical; 2026-W2, Waterline Replacement and 2026-W3, Electrical / Controls / Instrumentation Obtaining the Bidding Documents The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Century Engineering, a Kleinfelder Company, 330 Innovation Blvd, Suite 305, State College, PA 16803. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at no cost either electronically at www.PennBid.net or at the Issuing Office, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or Friday from 8:00 AM to Noon. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is Non-mandatory. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Galeton Borough Authority, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit and additional supporting documents with the bid. Bids may be held by the Galeton Borough Authority for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
