Solicitation # BAF26028
Bron Afon Community Housing, through Barcud Shared Services, is establishing an open framework scheme (BAF26028) to provide additional contractor capacity and specialist support to its Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). This framework is designed to supplement rather than replace the in-house DLO function and is divided into nine lots: General Repairs; Gas, Heating & Plumbing Repairs (including Out of Hours); Heating Installations; Roofing Repairs; Highway Works; Doors & Windows (Glazing); Drainage & Groundworks; External Garden Works; and Whole House Refurbishment. The estimated total value of the framework is 34,213,333.36 GBP excluding VAT, with a maximum operational period of 8 years. Pricing is based on a Schedule of Rates with a fixed period until August 31, 2028, after which annual CPI adjustments will apply. Contractors must meet stringent requirements, including specific insurance coverages—such as 10 million GBP for Employer's Liability and 5 million GBP for Public and Product Liability—and maintain valid Cyber Essentials certification. Performance is measured against Bron Afon's Lettable Standard, requiring a rigorous inspection, snagging, and sign-off process, alongside a minimum 12-month workmanship guarantee.
