Contracting Activity: 137th Special Operationg Wing, OKC, OK 73179 Description of Action: This proposed action is for the purchase and repair of Brand Name Whelan Mass Notification System (Giant Voice). Statutary Authoricy: In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1 (b) (1) (i), "Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available..." for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. Rationale Supporting the Use of Authority Cited Above: Total Radio INC is the local servie and repair provider for Whelen products and as only Whelen products can be used to preserve the warranty and the operability of the Mass Notification System therfore ths use of Total Radio INC as the sole source for this acquisition is suitable. Other than Full and Open Competition J&A Attached.
