Solicitation SPE4A5-27-T-0947, issued by the DLA Weapons Support ASC Supplier Oper OEM Division, is for the procurement of one case of Utility Grease (NSN 9150-12-382-4472). Each case must contain twenty 100-gram units of a commercial off-the-shelf product consisting of mineral oil, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, and silica. The grease must be in freeze-dried granule form with a minimum density of 1000 kg/m3 at 20 degrees Celsius and a closed crucible flash point of approximately 225 degrees Celsius. The item is subject to a non-extendable shelf life of 60 months. Delivery is required within five days after order to the USS Harrisburg LPD-30 in Gulfport, Mississippi, with FOB and inspection/acceptance points set at the destination. The contractor must provide original manufacturer unit packaging, as repackaging is prohibited, and adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129 for packaging and marking. Because the material is hazardous, the contractor must submit an SDS and OSHA Hazard Warning Label for approval prior to award and ensure all shipments comply with the Hazard Communication Standard and IP025 requirements. Quality assurance will be conducted via destination inspection using sampling methods per MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331. The contract incorporates several critical FAR and DFARS clauses, including those regarding the Buy American and Balance of Payments Program, NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity assessment requirements, and the prohibition of trafficking in persons. Solicitation # N00104-26-Q-FD66
Solicitation N00104-26-Q-FD66, issued by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, is a request for quotations for Marine Grease (NIIN 016517256), specifically Part Number A2283-93 LVP from TRI/Applied Technologies, Inc. Due to its use in crucial shipboard systems, the material is designated as Special Emphasis material (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured), requiring strict adherence to toxicity and flammability requirements per NAVSEA SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290. The material must be mercury-free, physically identified according to MIL-STD-130, and marked with an expiration date. Although the solicitation was issued on April 29, 2026, with a quote deadline of May 14, 2026, a subsequent amendment dated August 27, 2026, officially canceled the solicitation. The procurement process emphasizes past performance as the primary evaluation factor, weighted more heavily than price. Technical requirements include strict configuration control, with any waivers or engineering change proposals requiring approval from the Contracting Officer. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073 and ASTM D3951-18 depending on the shipment destination. Administrative requirements specify the use of the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system for invoicing and certification data submission to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Delivery is set as FOB Destination with a final delivery window of 200 days, and constructive acceptance is extended to 45 days after delivery.

Notice of Intent for Sole Source Award to Johnson Controls for N2 Controller Upgrade
Solicitation # FA462526Q1117
The U.S. Department of Defense, through the 509th Combat Communications Group at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, intends to award a sole source contract to Johnson Controls for the upgrade of N2 controllers across the base’s entire controls network. This decision is based on the fact that 100 percent of the current system infrastructure consists exclusively of Johnson Controls hardware and software, making integration with competing brands technically unfeasible. Furthermore, Johnson Controls is the sole authorized installer of its own products, ensuring that any installation or service work must be performed by them to maintain system integrity, functionality, and compatibility. The contract will include incidental installation services necessary to complete the upgrade. The action is documented under solicitation number FA462526Q1117, posted on July 16, 2026, and falls under NAICS code 335314 for Other Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing. The procurement is classified as a presolicitation, with no set-aside designation applied. Primary point of contact is Riverhue Mabanta, reachable at 660-687-4007 or riverhue.mabanta@us.af.mil, with Lt Joshua Sturgill serving as secondary contact. All work is to be performed at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, 65305. Interested parties may access additional details via the SAM.gov portal using the provided UI link.
