Wilcox County Board of Commissioners (SCBA Compressor and fill station RFP)

The Wilcox County Board of Commissioners is soliciting proposals for the procurement, delivery, and installation of a complete Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Compressor and Fill Station for the Wilcox County Fire Department. The scope of work requires a four-stage, air-cooled, oil-lubricated compressor from manufacturers such as Arctic, Bauer, or Mako, featuring a minimum operating pressure of 6,000 PSI and a capacity of 10 CFM. The system must include a Grade E breathing air purification system with carbon monoxide monitoring, four ASME/DOT storage cylinders with a priority fill panel, and an enclosed containment fill station meeting current NFPA requirements, including a safety interlock. The selected vendor will be responsible for the full installation, system and leak testing, operational demonstrations, air quality certification, and on-site training for personnel. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled specifically as a sealed bid and delivered to the Commissioner's Office in Abbeville, Georgia, by 2:30 PM on November 19, 2026. Bidders must provide a GSICA Contractor affidavit, drug-free workplace certification, and equal opportunity employer certification, with minority and DBE contractors encouraged to apply. All pricing must be inclusive of shipping and remain valid for four months following the bid opening. Evaluation will be based on technical compliance and product quality, though alternate brands of equal or better quality may be proposed.
