Wildwood Park Goat Grazing

The City of Santa Clarita is seeking a provider for the Wildwood Canyon Open Space Goat Grazing Project, which focuses on weed abatement and wildfire fuel reduction across more than 47 acres of city-owned open space in the Newhall Pass. The project involves the temporary deployment of goats or sheep, along with mobile fencing and herding support, to manage non-native vegetation and fine fuels. This initiative is strictly limited to livestock grazing and requires no grading, excavation, construction, or permanent improvements to the land. The project is located in Santa Clarita, California, and is managed by Michael Villegas, the Director of Neighborhood Services.
