The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, through the W072 Endist Nashville office, is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought notice under FAR Part 10 to conduct market research for the procurement of hydraulic diamond wire saw systems to support the Wilson Main Lock Stoplog Liner Repair Project in Florence, Alabama. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a contract; it is solely for gathering industry input on capability, interest, and availability to inform future acquisition planning. The requirement is for new, fully operational hydraulic diamond wire saw systems manufactured by Diamond Products, specifically compatible with existing government-owned CP40EXL and WS25 models, ensuring interoperability and part compatibility. The systems must include a 40HP, 460V hydraulic power unit, wire saw assembly, control station, and feed hoses of at least 25 feet, along with all necessary accessories that match Diamond Products specifications. Replacement parts for existing systems may also be procured under the same contract. The anticipated contract type is a Firm Fixed-Price Supply Contract with a mandatory Brand Name requirement for Diamond Products, and the acquisition is set aside partially for small businesses under NAICS code 332216 (Saw Blade and Handtool Manufacturing), with a size standard of 750 employees. Respondents must provide their firm name, address, contact information, CAGE or UEI code, and confirm their small business status and any socioeconomic designations such as 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, or HUBZone. They must also indicate whether they are an authorized Diamond Products distributor and whether they can supply the required equipment. Respondents are asked if they recommend an alternate NAICS code and whether they intend to submit a quote if a solicitation is issued. All responses must be emailed to the contracting officer and contract specialist by 1:00 PM Central Standard Time on May 12, 2026. The delivery point for any resulting contract will be the Tennessee River Operations Center at Wilson Lock, Florence, Alabama. No proprietary information should be submitted, and the Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in responding. Detailed specifications, packaging, inspection criteria, payment terms, and contract clauses will be defined only in the future solicitation, which has not yet been issued.

At a minimum, the system shall include a hydraulic power unit (approximately 40HP, 460V), wire saw assembly, control station, and feed hoses (minimum 25 feet in length). All associated accessories, including but not limited to hoses, fittings, and system components shall be compatible with Diamond Products systems. Additional equipment such as pulleys, rigging components, and related accessories may be included in this procurement depending on final operational requirements. In addition to new system procurement, Diamond Products replacement parts may be required to support rehabilitation and continued operation of existing Government owned wire saw systems.
The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code to this acquisition is 332216, Saw Blade and Handtool Manufacturing, Size Standard – 750 employees.
