This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Buckley Air Force Base, CO has a requirement for the Medical Group (MDG) regarding an upgrade at the base pharmacy facility. The pharmacy currently utilizes the BAV Sonic wired audio system to communicate with customers serving two separate drive-thru points of dispensing from one unit. The pharmacy staff/volunteers must share the microphone and speaker with ability to talk to only one customer at a time. The conversion to a wireless system would provide the staff the ability to communicate independently to each drive-thru lane without sharing the base station and they would be able to serve customers simultaneiously instead of one customer at a time Also, the staff would have the ability to find presciptions and communicate with the customer without being stationary at the drive-thru window. Required services are commercial, therefore, FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, shall apply to this acquisition. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor hours, training, equipment and supplies necessary to perform all services under this contract. This acquisition will be solicited as a Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A Firm Fixed Price Performance Based contract will result from the solicitation. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 423610. The small business size standard is $100M. The synopsis will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.eps.gov with an estimated closing date of 22 Sep 2011. No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be a certified small business registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/ or by contacting CCR Customer Service Contact Information at 1-888-227-2423 and all offerors must submit their representations and certifications at the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) website at http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible small businesses may submit a proposal that will be considered by the 460th Contracting Squadron. The anticipated contract award date is on or around 1 Oct 2011. Additionally, the Government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice.
