AI Contract Overview
The contract is a Small Business Set Aside solicitation for the procurement of 15 units of NSN 6150-01-560-1748, a wiring harness, issued under the Department of Defense’s ASC Commodities Division. All quotes must be submitted electronically through the DIBBS portal by the deadline of August 5, 2026, with no hard copies accepted. The solicitation is structured as a simplified acquisition under FAR 12, likely using a Lowest-Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection approach, though this is not explicitly confirmed. The only line item is for 15 units delivered FOB Origin within 338 days after order, with delivery designated to W1A8 DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The approved source is identified as 92678 10130122D, and only responsible small business concerns may respond, with offerors required to represent their size status and socioeconomic certifications via SAM.gov, including UEI and CAGE code disclosures per DFARS 252.204-7016. Packaging must strictly adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and RP001 DLA requirements, using climate-controlled dry preservation (PRES MTHD 41), glassine wrap, and polyethylene foam cushioning, packed as a unit container without preservation materials. Marking and labeling must comply with MIL-STD-129, which mandates 2D Data Matrix barcodes and OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) labeling for any hazardous materials. Contractors must submit complete Safety Data Sheets (SDS) prior to award and update them throughout performance if material composition alters. Inspection and acceptance occur at origin under MIL-STD-1916 criteria with zero defects required for critical attributes and strict AQL limits for major and minor defects. Invoicing is exclusively through WAWF using the Invoice and Receiving Report format. The contract includes multiple FAR and DFARS clauses covering labor practices, trafficking in persons, employment verification, sustainable products, and authorization and consent for government use of technical data, all effective as of February 2026 or later revisions. No contract value is specified, pricing is to be provided by offerors, and no formal evaluation factors, weights, or scoring methodology are published, relying instead on automated award
