British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) is soliciting proposals under RFP 24489 for comprehensive wood waste management services across British Columbia. The selected provider will be responsible for the year-round collection, transportation, and lawful disposal or recycling of both clean and contaminated wood waste from designated BC Hydro locations. The scope of work includes providing all necessary labor, vehicles, and equipment, specifically roll-off bins ranging from 12 to 40 yards. Key performance targets include a 98 percent on-time completion rate for scheduled services and a 100 percent compliance rate for mandatory safety requirements and site cleanliness. Proponents must provide quarterly reports detailing tonnage, waste types, and disposal facilities used, and all waste must remain within Canada. The solicitation requires a detailed pricing response covering bin rentals, tipping and service rates, landfill fees, and fuel surcharges. Evaluation is based on the best value to BC Hydro, with mandatory requirements including safety pre-qualification via Safe Contractors, cybersecurity risk management, and compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of British Columbia. US suppliers are ineligible to participate per the Tariff Response Procurement Directive.
