1.1 INTRODUCTION – SCOPE OF WORK The WCB is seeking a Contractor to complete a Residential Home Modification Project in Lac La Biche, Alberta as per the specifications and drawings contained in this IFB. The project will consist of the following tasks: 1. Supply and installation of all material and systems described herein for the interior modifications to the existing 1.5 storey 981 square foot on the main floor, 581 square feet on the second floor and a 1319 square foot finished basement. 2. Construct a new two storey 146 square foot addition to the front of the home to accommodate an enlarged foyer, elevator and second floor walk in closet for barrier free accessibility. 3. Provide new concrete retaining wall and ramp to the new front entry with reworking of the existing unistone driveway as shown on the drawings. 4. Interior modifications as indicated on the drawings along with a new kitchen and ensuite on the second floor. 5. Installation of all mechanical and electrical system modifications in accordance with the requirements outlined on the drawings. 6. Replace flooring as indicated on the drawings. 7. The intent of this project is to meet the “CSA B651-18 Accessible Design For the Built Environment”.
