The DLA Land and Maritime Small Business Office is conducting a Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) webinar on December 4, 2012, aimed at Women Owned Small Businesses and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Businesses (EDWOSB). This 30-minute session will outline opportunities related to the procurement of military spare parts identified by National Stock Numbers (NSNs) that fall under specific NAICS codes designated by Congress. Participation is limited to 30 callers on a first-come, first-served basis, with technical support provided for access issues. An agenda and additional technical data are available to participants through designated internet collaboration folders (cFolders), hosting dummy solicitations SPM7LX13R9987X (FSC 4710) and SPM7LX13R9992X (FSC 4820), accessible until January 15, 2013. These solicitations serve as previews for drawing packages and other technical data, which vendors need to verify before use in actual solicitations. Some technical data, such as military or commercial specifications, are not included and must be obtained through other resources. The contract opportunity is focused on sourcing manufacturers or small machine shops under the SBA Certified Economically Disadvantaged WOSB Program Set-Aside (FAR 19.15), primarily within NAICS code 332996. The place of performance is Columbus, Ohio. Interested businesses should access bid information and technical documents via DLA’s DIBBS system and cFolders, following specific instructions for login and document retrieval. Points of contact for the solicitation include William Chavez, Small Business Specialist, and James R. Secrist, Contracting Officer, who can assist with inquiries. This outreach effort facilitates small business engagement with DLA Land and Maritime’s procurement process for military spare parts, encouraging participation by providing necessary resources and support.
