X--Notice of Intent to Award A Superseding Lease

The purpose of this notification is to notify the public of the Department of Veterans Affair's intent to enter into a Superseding Lease at its current location. Superseding Leases are used in lieu of a modification to existing leases when changes or modifications contemplated are so numerous or detailed as to cause complications or substantially change the lease. There are no changes to the current space requirement which includes approximately 21, 831 Net Usable Square Feet (NUSF) of medical space and 152 parking spaces. While it is not the governments intent to relocate, the VA may consider alternative space if economically advantageous. Any offered property must be located in Superior, Wisconsin. The Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements, telecommunications infrastructure and security costs. Alternate solutions must include convincing evidence that alternate space is economically advantageous. The offered space must meet federal Government requirements for security, fire, safety, handicapped accessibility of the offered property as to the building's structural integrity; the highest safety and security of its surrounding areas.
