The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting a market survey to gather information regarding the lease of approximately 9,500 Net Usable Square Feet (NUSF) in the Anne Arundel County area, specifically in Glen Burnie, Maryland, to replace its expiring office and related medical space lease. The VA seeks contiguous, first-floor space that complies with current building, seismic, and ADA standards, and includes on-site parking for 52 vehicles. The location must also fall within a defined geographic area bounded by major roads including I-695, Fort Smallwood Road, Maryland State Route 100, and Route 97. Maintaining uninterrupted operation of the Glen Burnie Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) is a critical requirement. The VA will evaluate offers based on cost-effectiveness, the suitability of existing spaces, and potential expenses related to relocating, tenant improvements, telecommunication infrastructure replication, and downtime. The notice specifically encourages Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) who are registered in the VA’s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) and possess the necessary technical and financial capabilities to submit capabilities statements. These statements should include company details, evidence of SDVOSB/VOSB status, registration under NAICS code 531120, summaries of relevant past projects, and proof of financing capability. While the focus is on SDVOSB and VOSB firms, other small businesses are also welcome to respond. Interested parties must submit information electronically to the designated Contract Specialist by January 6, 2024, including detailed property information such as location, size, available parking, ownership, and broker authorization where applicable. This request is solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment by the Government.
