The National Research Council Canada (NRC) has a requirement for the supply of an Xray Fluorescence (XRF)
Microscope. The microscope will be able to quantitatively determine elemental composition of solid-state materials with
special resolution. This piece of equipment is unique, because of geometry of the instrument and ability to image the
elemental composition of a sample. Beyond the already planned projects involving this equipment, the applications of
this equipment are broad and can be incorporated into many NRC-Mississauga (NRC-M) projects.
