Description: The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106 anticipates soliciting sources and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Re-Roof 2nd Floor CARES Connector Roofs." Provide a re-roof of two existing second floor roof areas utilizing a single ply protected roof membrane assembly. One roof (1055 sf) is bound on four sides by multi-story towers with walkout access. The other roof (730 sf) has two sides against walls and two sides with a parapet wall and metal coping. Access for staging and booming material to roof and locating dumpster will be made available at ground level along the south parapet. Staging area at ground level will be limited. Project includes replacement of roof to wall flashing and through wall flashing. Project includes installation of a full drainage pan under windows and door threshold and also replacement of metal wall coping on parapet wall. Modification of existing storm drains is required to fully integrate with selected roofing system. The solicitation will be issued as an "Invitation for Bid" conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36 and be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be a 100% set-aside for VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The solicitation, when issued, will include specifications and drawings. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $100,000 to $250,000.
