Description of the proposed work is: Furnish and install new generator building and site distribution. Work includes but is not limited to building construction, sitework, site and building electrical installation, HVAC, plumbing, fuel distribution and Fire Protection. Furnish, deliver and install four (4) generators and equipment necessary to facilitate a fully operational system. The Part I Work consists of installing a new primary electrical site distribution system based on a three source primary loop. The Work shall consist of connections and coordination with two new utility substations to be located on site. All ductbanks, manholes, handholes and new overhead lines with utility poles required for the new distribution system are included. Cable, reclosers, cutouts, switches, breakers and fuses are also included. All existing switching stations are to be replaced with new switching stations. Sectionalizing cabinets are required at all switching stations. Site work will include the demolition and removal of existing structures and pavements and replacement of pavements where trenching for the duct work will be required. There are temporary removal and relocation requirements of existing utilities that are in conflict with the new work such as with fire hydrants, light poles, etc. Also, included are environmental protection measures and restoration of grass areas. The Part II Work includes a new Generator Building with a Generator Room and a Switchgear Room/Battery Room and a mezzanine. Building includes new louvers, doors roofs, gutters, interior partitions, insulated roll-up garage doors, roofing, insulation, sound attenuation, flooring, painting, hardware, etc. Building structure is a steel frame consisting of steel joists, beams and columns on conventionally reinforced concrete spread footings. Exterior walls consist of reinforced CMU block. The mezzanine consisting of composite concrete floor slab on steel beams and interior and exterior steel stairs. Ground floor stab consist of concrete slab on grade with isolated, thicker slabs under each generator. There is a steel crane monorail. The generator building houses three new generators with provisions for a fourth. The generator building houses new paralleling switchgear and controls for the generators and a main-tie-main switchgear for the new primary three source loop distribution system. A medium voltage load bank is included. On-site below-grade fuel tanks are included with manifold fuel piping to daytanks/generators housed inside the building. The switchgear and mezzanine levels of the building are to be provided with conditioned air and the generator portion of the building is to be heated with unit electric heaters. The site requires clearing and grubbing of wooded areas, and engineered fill with 3H:1V slopes to finished grade. The site will be paved with concrete pavement and the access to the site will be by new bituminous asphalt roads. The site will be enclosed by a chain link fence with dual sliding gates. There are wind brake trees, light poles and lighting system, storm drainage including trench drains, drain inlets, pipes and manholes and grass swale; stormwater management with BMP structure and pond; denuded areas will be seeded and there are erosion and sediment controls during construction. Project is designed to comply with a Certification Level according to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System
