This project involves the removal of existing tow haulage unit, guard fence, check posts and recess covers on land wall at Braddock L/D. A new Government Furnished tow haulage unit with controls will then be installed. A concrete overlay (1 ft thick) will be placed on the land wall and a portion of the esplanade pavement to accommodate the installation of the new tow haulage unit. The installation of new trench drain is necessary in the esplanade. New guard fence, check posts and recess covers will be installed on land wall. Pre-engineered equipment shelters (2 ea) with operator enclosure at tow haulage winch and power unit shall be installed. The removal and replacement of the existing tow haulage unit control building is necessary along with the removal and replacement of a jib crane.
