Y--Craney Island Eastward Expansion - South and Division Cross Dikes Stage 2A, Portsmouth, Virginia.

This procurement (Sealed Bid) for placing the Stage 2 lift of sand for two cross dikes of the Craney Island Eastward Expansion (CIEE) project. The South and Division cross dikes for the CIEE project will be built to an elevation of +10 feet Mean Lower Low Water. An estimated 1,400,000 cubic yards of sand will be hydraulically placed to build the dikes. Borrow source of sand material will be the Atlantic Ocean Federal Navigation Channel or as specified in the Contract documents. Substantial completion of the project shall be achieved by March 31, 2013. The Notice-to-Proceed will be issued no later than November 1, 2012. NAICS Code 237990 applies to this procurement.
