Y--Maintenance Dredging, Rudee Inlet, Virginia Beach, Virginia

The project consists of maintenance dredging Rudee Inlet Entrance Channel, Depositional Basin and Sandtrap. All work shall be performed by hydraulic dredge and pipeline. The Entrance Channel shall be dredged to depths of 10 and 12 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth at each respective depth; the Depositional Basin to depths of 10 feet and 20 feet MLLW with 2 feet of allowable overdepth at each respective depth; and Sandtrap to a depth of 18 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The Contractor shall place the dredged material and construct finished elevations and grades to the tolerances indicated and specified. The Contractor shall be required to maintain the beach and associated work areas in a manner to ensure the safe access and egress of the public for the duration of the contract. Including allowable overdepth and estimated accretion to 4 March 2010, the project involves maintenance dredging approximately 171,600 cubic yards of material. This procurement is unrestricted.
