Y--Rehab Intake Gates at Gavins Point Dam Powerhouse, Cedar County, NE (near Yankton, SD)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, CENWP, intends to award a contract for Rehab Intake Gates at Gavins Point Dam Powerhouse, Yankton, South Dakota. This procurement is to disassemble nine tractor-type intake gates, sandblast and paint all steel surfaces, disassemble clean and reinstall roller chains, sandblasting and vinyl paint all of the steel surfaces and reassemble the gates. Prior to work being done in the Gate Repai r Pit, the contractor will be required to upgrade the lighting and ventilation in that repair pit. This work can only be performed during the Spring/Summer/Fall, as the gates can not be removed from their gate slots during the Winter months.
