Y--Sources Sought YOSE Water & Sewer piping

The project is located in Yosemite National Park, California, along Tuolumne Grove Road near the Big Oak Flat Entrance Station and Hodgdon Meadow Campground, and involves comprehensive upgrades to both water and sanitary sewer infrastructure. The water system replacement includes construction of 1,200 linear feet of raw water line, 7,900 linear feet of water supply line, and 8,100 linear feet of water distribution system with associated appurtenances to serve the Big Oak Flat Welcome Center, Hodgdon Meadow Campground, and staff housing areas. The existing 100,000-gallon welded steel water storage tank will be demolished and replaced with a new 210,000-gallon steel water storage tank and associated access road. A new water source well and pump will be installed along with a new water treatment and control building. Supporting infrastructure includes 3,200 linear feet of electrical distribution and service and 3,800 linear feet of communications service. The existing asbestos cement water main will be abandoned in place. In parallel, the sanitary sewer component requires connecting the Big Oak Flat sanitary sewer to the Hodgdon Meadow Campground wastewater system by constructing approximately 3,500 linear feet of 6-inch sanitary sewer line, 20 sanitary sewer manholes, and three service laterals. Performance is expected to be completed by May 2028. The solicitation is currently in the sources sought phase under solicitation number 140P2026R0083, with responses due June 1, 2026, and the project falls under NAICS code 237110 for pipeline construction. Offerors are required to provide company identification including UEI, certify their socioeconomic status such as EDWOSB, HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, and other veteran or Native American-owned categories, disclose bonding capacity, and indicate the estimated percentage of work to be self-performed. The project will require Performance and Payment Bonds as well as insurance compliance, and contractors must adhere to California’s local licensing and permitting requirements. A formal solicitation with pricing and award criteria is anticipated in June 2026.
