The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is seeking the acquisition of genuine original equipment manufacturer engine parts for Yanmar engines installed on several non-standard small boat models, including the CB-OTH MK II-23, CB-OTH MK III-23, CB-M-17, and SRP-23 Zodiacs. To ensure exact fit, form, and function, as well as overall safety and equipment compatibility, the government requires that all supplied parts be genuine OEM with no substitutes or aftermarket parts accepted. Because the necessary technical and engineering data is proprietary, the solicitation is limited to Yanmar America Corporation or its authorized distributors. This procurement, identified by solicitation number HSCG40-14-R-52005, is structured as a fixed-price requirements-type contract consisting of one base year and four option years. The acquisition is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1 as a brand name justification for other than full and open competition. All parts must be preserved, packaged, and marked according to Coast Guard specifications. The contract is managed by the Department of Homeland Security through the Sflc Procurement Branch 3 located in Baltimore, Maryland.
