Z -- Announcement of A-76 Streamline Review Decision

A study was conducted to evaluate the maintenance activities of trails in the R5 Pacific Southwest Region, involving 99 full-time equivalent employees. This evaluation followed the U.S. Department of Agriculture's guidelines for competitive sourcing under the A-76 Streamline Review process. The review aimed to determine whether to retain or outsource the trail maintenance work. On September 22, 2003, a decision was finalized to keep the trail maintenance services in-house, utilizing the existing organizational structure and continuing under current performance provisions. The Sierra National Forest, part of the Department of Agriculture, managed this process from its office in Clovis, California. The decision was formally announced on October 21, 2003, under solicitation number RFP-R5-13-03-131-Trails.
