NASA/JSC intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Schlumberger Water ServicesUSA, Inc., for the maintenance and service of the Westbay water treatment and samplingsystem required to comply with the sampling mandates of NASA's Post-Closure Care Permit.The design of the groundwater systems are proprietary to Schlumberger WaterSystemsWestbay Instruments, Inc. Replacement equipment, repair, spare parts, andmaintenance/calibration of sensitive equipment are available only from Schlumberger WaterSystem Westbay Instruments, Inc. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:30 p.m. local timeon September 23, 2009.
